PLAINFIELD GIVING GALA RAISES $110,000 FOR LOCAL CHARITIES
Friends for Charitable Giving, a nonprofit public charity organized and operated by community minded volunteers, is pleased to announce that over $110,000 in net proceeds was raised at the 2020 Plainfield Giving Gala. Approximately three hundred ten guests attended the black tie affair which was held on February 22, 2020 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club. In addition to a formal dinner the event included an open bar, silent auction, cash raffle, raise the paddle donations and dancing to a ten piece orchestra.
The mission of the Plainfield Giving Gala is to raise funds for charitable causes throughout the Plainfield area. Ron and Kathy Kazmar who are the co-chairs of the 2020 Giving Gala stated “we are very pleased with the results of the 2020 Giving Gala and are truly grateful to our generous sponsors, our dedicated volunteers and everyone that attended and supported the Gala. A wonderful time was had by all raising money for those in need and we are looking forward to next year’s Giving Gala which will be held on February 13, 2021 at the Bolingbrook Golf Club.”
Funds raised from the 2020 Plainfield Giving Gala will be used to provide grants to nonprofits that provide services primarily within the boundaries of Plainfield School District 202. Last year almost $70,000 in grants were awarded to charitable organizations from the funds raised at the 2019 Giving Gala.
